Pumping surf forecast for Animal Newquay open title decider at the famous Fistral Beach

Big swells are forecast to hit Fistral beach for the Animal Newquay Open, the final stop on UK Pro Surf Tour.  The 2009 championship is the closest for years with six surfers all in with a good chance to take the Open Championship title.

With the forecast showing 11ft waves at 12 second intervals all is set for an epic title decider.

The surfers best five results out of the six UKPST events count and it really couldn’t be closer. After complicated number crunching three surfers are in pole position and guaranteed victory with a win. Bude’s Reubyn Ash, home boy Tom Butler and Animal rider Alan Stokes will all claim the title by taking the win. Mark Harris and Ollie Adams can take the title but require the others to finish outside of the top three. Last years champion Reubin Pearce has the most to do but will still be champion should the others get knocked out early.

Ding ding, bells out, final round…
